You will need:

- A tablespoon
- 2 x Large saucepans
- Cooking spoon
- A colander
- A cheese grater
- An ovenproof dish i.e., a Casserole dish

Ingredients:

- 300g Macaroni Pasta
- 30g Unsalted Butter
- 25g Plain Flour
- 500ml Whole milk
- Ground Black Pepper
- Sea Salt
- Lymn Bank Horseradish Cheddar Barrel

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C/200°C Fan/Gas Mark 7.

  2. Cook the macaroni until it is al dente, this usually takes around 7 minutes but we recommend checking the packaging of your chosen pasta.

  3. Whilst the macaroni is cooking, melt the butter in a large saucepan, over a medium heat.

  4. Once melted, add the flour into the saucepan and stir continuously until it’s mixed in.

  5. Add the milk to the pan very gradually, stirring constantly to ensure the mixture does not go lumpy.

  6. Once the macaroni is cooked, use your colander to drain it, and add the pasta into the sauce mixture. Stir generously to ensure the macaroni is covered in the sauce.

  7. Add sea salt and pepper to the mixture, to your liking and mix again.

  8. Grate your Lymn Bank Horseradish Cheddar Barrel, and add half of the grated cheese to the macaroni and stir to combine.

  9. Pour the cheesy macaroni into your oven-proof casserole dish and spread out evenly.

  10. Sprinkle the remaining of your grated Horseradish Cheddar on the top of the macaroni.

  11. Place your dish into the oven to brown for 10 minutes. The top should be brown, and the bottom, saucy.

  12. Remove from the oven and serve as you desire!
